Study results indicate that patients with high satisfaction scores appear to experience significantly higher surgical quality when compared with those with low satisfaction scores. Patients with high satisfactions scores had relative risk reductions of 11.1% for mortality, 12.6% for failure to rescue, and 11.5% for minor complications.
